Introduction To Reset

Reset is a residential camp that helps young people aged 16 to 24 reset their lives.

We provide a safe space in peaceful locations where we offer immersive experiences where young people are reintroduced to the wonders and realities of the world around them.

We aim to give young people the chance to boost their resilience, respect themselves and their environment and find a renewed confidence to face their futures.

Gardening & Conservation Activities

Connecting with nature through hands-on conservation and sustainability

Participants engage in various physical and manual activities, encouraging a connection with the product of work and promoting links between this and mental well-being. Involvement in farm and conservation activities helps participants understand sustainability and the importance of environmental stewardship. The fellows will help with growing their own food in our garden while learning about permaculture, and important conservation work, such as preparing the pistes for the cows, maintaining the traditional waterways.

Objectives

Introduce the group to the joy of working the land and growing their own food

Reintroduce participants to nature and the beauty of the Alps

Instil love for manual labour by highlighting its benefits for both physical and mental fitness.

Encourage teamwork by working in small groups to plan and complete tasks, from start to finish, such as harvests and landscaping.

Programme - Alpine Spring and Summer

Gardening & Conservation Activities

Participants reconnect with nature through hands-on farming and conservation activities, encouraging sustainability awareness, physical and mental well-being, and the satisfaction of seeing tasks through from start to finish.

Rural & Mountain Sport Activities

Exciting rural and mountain sport activities are designed to enhance physical fitness and encourage teamwork among participants. From mountain biking and climbing, to surfing and swimming, the choices are varied.

Inquiry & Learning

Educational sessions are based on inquiry and dialogue, and include Philosophy & Ethics, Life Sciences, and Art. These are timetabled alongside Personal & Social Development group sessions, with small groups and individually tailored growth opportunities. Additionally, academic tutoring for GCSE & A-Level subjects is available as part of the programme, ensuring students can continue their studies alongside their personal development journey.

Time to reflect & grow

Each day has time set aside for mindfulness, yoga or exercise. There are daily opportunities to talk to a counsellor or therapist or just sit in nature and read a book! Our programme also includes dedicated parent engagement sessions designed to strengthen trust, improve communication, and support the family.

Programme journey: Before, During & After

BEFORE

We understand the potential need to escape from a given environment and the potential requirement to join us rapidly. As a result, we have a simple direct in-take interview process and can decide rapidly the on-boarding together, supported by our care professionals.

DURING

The first step will focus on creating the right balance between personal growth and getting enough rest to recharge your energy. The following phase will concentrate on resetting and fostering self-awareness for both your physical and mental wellbeing. Finally, our goal is to strengthen your skills in self-discovery and independence. We aim for young people to reconnect with the basics by actively participating in daily tasks and preparations, rather than engaging in pre-packaged activities. This hands-on involvement helps them take ownership of their independence. When appropriate, we also invite parents to take part in structured touchpoints as their involvement supports trust and long-term progress.

AFTER

After care is essential to continue prioritising your overall health and leading a fulfilling life once out of Reset. We have a series of services to cover this fundamental support, depending on the needs. For parents, we offer optional guidance on how to support the transition home with confidence and care. We cherish our alumni community and love to stay connected socially.

Our Reset monitoring

We've developed a unique, data-driven 'reset' score with mental health professionals and data scientists, focusing on lifestyle and mental health for young people facing mental challenges and low self-confidence.
